10 Good Things

... that happened today.
1) I finally have an advisor! Not my first pick, but I think it will work out well. He's interested in my research and I've shown that I'm serious about pursuing it. This is the first gigantic step towards being done by May.
2) Standing up to someone who belittles me. Maybe he wasn't listening, but at least I didn't just sit there and take what he was saying without a response.
3) Five Guys for lunch. And, I was financially responsible and did not order fries or a drink with my burger.
4) Just before Five Guys, talking to Adam about his current obsession with finding hidden members of his family back in Lithuania. He was on his way to the bank, to wire money to Lithuania, to retrieve his ancestor's KGB record. Pretty cool stuff.
5) Waking up next to Brittany. Sure it happens almost every morning, but it still makes me happy.
6) Patrick cuddles.
7) Finishing my seminar homework an hour earlier than expected.
8) Realizing that I'm a much nicer teacher than I thought I would be, and beginning to embrace that.
9) Submitted my Fulbright application.
10) Kristina told me I looked "very nice" today. I looked the same as always, but random compliments are always welcome.
